Anyone ever use the CorrecTOR pad by Len Brown? What kind of experiences have you had? I am looking at buying one, but since the no return policy, I'm scared to make the jump...thanks
We have purchased two Corrector Pads directly from Len Brown and bought one secondhand from a woman that likely never even used it (she barely ever rides). I used one for a full year of competition in mostly 40-mile CTR's and found it was fine. My horse pretty well won every competition he was in and won Reserve Hi-Point at the end of the year (Reserve only because he didn't compete in many of the rides). Despite that, however, I really feel that I can't judge too well as to how effective it is; I find it kind of a tough call. We haven't used them the last two years only because we didn't really need to because of the saddles we were using. Len Brown is a fair person to deal with though. One of the pads is cracked (don't ask me how that happend) and he said send it back and he would replace it. We've been too lazy to do that yet, but will get around to it one of these days. If you live in Canada, I would be happy to sell you one of our pads for a decent price (don't know what they sell for anymore).
Hello.
I have used the corrector pad on a wide quarter horse who was getting round dry spots and got large white spots. Not only did the pad take away the dry spots but eventually the white spots went away.
I have also used it for my arabian because I am using an Abetta saddle and wasn't the perfect fit. I want to buy a new saddle soon but decided to try the corrector pad. Worked perfectly and so I am waiting to buy a saddle.
I would like to get an endurance saddle and need to find out what kind is best.
Anyway, I highly recommend this pad and Mr. Brown is very easy to work with. He will talk to you on the phone and help you with what you need.
Yes, I still have a corrector pad for sale with the shim set and sock cover in very good condition. If you are interested, please let me know as well as what you would expect to pay. Thanks.
