Endurance Riders

Endurance and Long Distance Equine Disciplines

Not sure strategies is the best place for this, maybe starting new mounts. We don't have the option to start our own category.

One day I opened my mind and realized that when I was working with my horses, some of the thoughts in my head were theirs not mine. It blew me away, and then I started paying attention more. And getting messages from other people's horses.

I think we all have this ability, but most of us stifle it and don't believe the messages we are hearing, or tell ourselves that it's our thoughts and not the animal's.

anyway, I love to practice. I'm best at talking with horses and dogs, but have also read cats and talked with a deer and a red tailed hawk.

Sometimes I just get impressions and feelings, other times get something quite specific. If you'd like me to ask your horse some questions, I need a picture of it's face and the questions you want asked. I don't charge a fee for this, I just want the experience and if I can help somebody and some animals, that's cool. I've talked with horses in Canada, the US, and Australia.

I'd love to hear from other people who do AC and people who have had experiences good and bad. Later, I'll tell you how I got started....

And if you think I had too much to smoke in the 70's, well, you are entitled to your opinion, LOL. Doesn't hurt my feelings.

Hi Chris I do think you smoked too much in the 70's but I smoked too much in the 80's so we're even.I am a skeptic but by being a skeptic I don't dismiss anything.I'm not sure exactly what you mean by communication. If you go to my page and have a look at the photo of the grey I'm riding you can have a crack at him as I know him quite well he is my favourite horse by a long way.You can also have a crack at the black one as I doubt there is anything going on in that head.Ask her why she wants to kill me?The closest thing to what your describing is the gut feeling I get from a horse that lets me know how it's feeling but there is no communication other than what I feel.Give it a go for me and I'd be interested to know more about your ac.Cheers G

I'll ask in the morning if that's oK. (my morning). Like I told mairose, i'm wiped out, it's midnight here and I haven't slept for 2 nights... my ribs are hurting bad.

next time, don't tell me about his shoes, just ask me if I can pick up on some discomfort somewhere!

ok, talk with gray is in your in folder. I couldn't tell if he was giving me the straight poop or pulling my chain, LOL...he has quite a sense of humor.

I always give readings back to the humans privately and let you decide if you want to post it publicly or not.

it is gut feel, G and more if you open your mind. U probably can do it. At first I just got little messages. The first time I realized it was when I was walking and walking an old mare who was colicing badly. She told me she couldn't go on anymore and said she wanted to lie down. I asked her if she knew what would happen if I let her do that, and she said yes, she was ready to go.

I let her lie down, put a blanket over her and went into the kitchen to cry. I came back out 10 min later and she was gone.

Several months later, I was talking outloud to my mare Ali, in my picture, and told her, "someday you'll be my best horse friend ever." She told me, "I already am."

These come to me as impressions and phrases. sometimes I get pictures form them. Mostly it's stream of consciousness stuff.

At first I wasn't sure if ali really told me that or if I imagined it, and it was one of my own thoughts. It takes a while to suspend disbelief and accept that some of those thoughts really do come from the animals.

Last summer a girl asked me to ask her gelding what he needed. He seemed grumpy. All I got from the gelding was one word, and I got it over and over. SALT. I told her that's all I got and she said, OMG, their pasture is out of salt. the next day she got a block and emailed me that he ran over to it and started chomping down on it.

sometimes they tell me things that the owners really don't want to hear. ONe horse told me his rider flopped on his bakc and yanked on his mouth, that' s why he got irritable lduring tack up cause he knew what was coming. She wasn't too happy with that information.

just a coupld of weeks ago, a friend asked me why her gelding was so grumpy, pinning his ears back, not wanting her attnetion. I felt from him that he had something wrong underneath, in the belly area, he was in pain. she took him to the university vet hospital and they found a big abcess under his belly back near his scrotum.

Another lady asked me to find out more about her mare's younger years. I didn't get much other than a picture of lots of swirling dust, dry dusty conditions, heat, and lots of noise and activity. The lady later told me her mare grew up in Mexico and was in a crowded pen with lots of other horses.

I'm not as good as some people. I can't tell u what color blanket your horse is wearing or that his stall is the third one on the left. I've got a friend who is that good and I have her read my horses. It's like working with your own children, sometimes you miss it cause you are too close.

Ask about his rider and if he's happy with his paddock company.

sure, I'll try a donkey, but I need to know what you want to know!

I'll ask tomorrow as I'm really wiped out tonight. I have to be awake and alert and receptive!

No pressure from here. Just get to it whenever is good for you.
This little guy has done a bit of moving around in his short life so far. I just wonder what he thinks of it all.
I probably don't want to know what Nellie or Noodle think---"my saddle doesn't fit, you ride too far sometimes & quit being so pushy" :o)
