Endurance and Long Distance Equine Disciplines

Hi all

I am trying to decide what to do, BMSS or EZ fit. I have ridden in BMSS before, but not EZ fit, and I am not in the US so a trial program is a little pricey if the saddle doesn't work.

I am leaning towards the EZ fit only because it has more of a twist, my mare is very wide and I find the BMSS just too wide. But would love to hear from people who have tried both. My mare is only 17" between scapula and last rib which has made finding a saddle that isn't way too long for her an issue because I take a 17.5" seat (english). I'm not sure which saddle is overall best for a short back. She is also downhill and has a very forward girth groove, but a prominent wither and scapula. I'm thinking the EZ fit would have less chance of pinching her shoulders?

Also wondering if people use Skito's under their EZ fit and what style pad fits best under them?

Thanks

Nicole
