Robin, go ahead and put your miles in when you get a chance and I'll roll them up in the rider history. I think we have a consistent @30% of the starters that have problems simuliar to yours. I'm thinking of ways to make things easier ...

Well, I really flaked on this one. I did get in about 25-26 miles, but didn't have the opportunity to submit my files. It's tough when I have to wait for an opportunity to steal time at work! Hopefully one day I'll have faster service at home (we got a postcard from the phone company that it's now available in our area). Guess I'll try again in March Madness!

I thought I had the turtle award nailed thanks to only getting out one day- better luck next time- first runner-up turtle?

Thanks John for another fun event. My friends are asking, "What is a virutal endurance ride?!" It's fun to explain and tell the great stories I read from folks here. The sense of community and good spirit is terrific. See ya in March!

Despite the nasty weather I had a great time and found that my two old retired horses are still eager beavers to hit the trail and have great recoveries on short runs. I have no idea why my Google had trouble with those 2 Lower Cabin tracks of Johns. Maybe it was "bit rot" like John said. Anyway it was fun and the competition is getting tougher, gives me more incentive to ride. See ya all in March. Thanks John for inventing and organizing this new virtual endurance.

John, I had no trouble looking at your routes, but then I am on a Mac :) I'm ready for the next VV. All of my non-endurance riding friends are getting into this thing and are following along. CC

Every time I got ready to put my foot in the stirrup I found another lamb. 25 born during the ride! Yesterday I caught and saddled my horse at noon and didn't get on the trail until almost four. It was too slippery to do more than walk anyway, but it was nice to see some trail again. Thanks John for putting this on. Libby

what a great time I had! Discovering new friends, riding honest forward horses on such gorgeous trails!
Thanks kevin, rusty, Steph, john (happy birthday!!!), brian, darla, all the horses, especially jack and redford and all the doggies!
I miss you all already!

It's late, I'll write more tomorrow (well, don't hold me to that one:) Mac was a pretty good pony I'd say. It rained pretty hard here today with a good wind. He is settling down just fine. We had a great time indeed.

Thanks to everyone! I tried really hard to catch Sandra! I cut some corners on the first loop and never recovered!!

g'night all!

(p.s. Don, I'll email you those track logs. I made them just like the others so maybe it's bit rot on the upload??)

Well, we managed three days of riding. Yesterday we got out the useless horse, and Gambler who is sort of retired, and managed almost 5 whole miles with them. Our weather in No. TX was pretty nice. We have a great trail system to ride on (the LBJ Grasslands) but on Saturday, we headed over to a Greenbelt trail about 35 miles from us, and rode down to an Inn and back. Should have left earlier and ate lunch there! Maybe next time.
