Flora's Track-Logs look like a horse!!

31 Days of Endurance Maddness! Ride as many horses and as many miles as you possibly can or want to for the month of March. Log your miles on the virtual vet card to for the chance to win a t-shirt for your efforts! (and if you don't win, you can always buy one:)
To register for the ride, join this group. You will, in time, receive an invitation to your vet card. Don't loose it as it will be used for all the rest of your VVRides.

Track logs can be upload by adding a reply to the TrackLogs discussion and then pasting the resulting URL into your vet card. Tracklogs converted to GoogleEarth.kmz files are prefered

If you don't really understand the above, then you might consider joining a team. Teams have secretaries that take care of you on the ride:)

You can keep a blog of your ride on your my-endurance profile page (My Page). Some examples are:

* a list of past VVRide blog posts

The Very Virtual Ride Rules will help you understand the competition rules. In overview, they are: *A Picture of a Napikin with the Rules written on it".

Remember, the start of the VVMarchMaddness ride is:

Sunrise 01Mar2009 - any miles after than, you should log
Sunset 31Mar2009 - (Generally there are 48 hours post finish to get everyone to log their miles)

have fun:)

Melinda - I hope you do not lose another for a long, long time.

Thanks everyone. She was my first horse which makes it harder (I think. she's also the first horse I have lost so I'll let you know after I lose another...). I keep trying to think of the positives.....I'm not horseless...but of course that doesn't matter right now! Thanks again.

Thinking of you Melinda.....I'm sure she will be waiting for you on the 'bridge'.

Melinda, we are so sorry for your loss. Most of us have been there and can sympathize with the pain you are feeling. Cindy

Melinda - I am so very sorry for your loss of Minx. Hugs to you. Flora

John - I wanted to send a special thank you for holding this. I lost my mare "Minx" ~45 hours ago to colic. she was the one I rode mostly for the VV miles last month. Without this VV ride I probably wouldn't have ridden as many miles as I did and missed out on some very special time. I have no (well, at least not many....) regrets because I got out and RODE last month. thank you thank you thank you.

I keep a log of every day's rides and the horses parameters, however I've never seen it all in one place like this! (I just jot down the details in a diary for future reference, or to see how a particular horse is progressing.)
I had no idea that I rode so many miles! (And even more when it's counted in kilometres.) Nearly 500 miles in one month, and that's not competing at official rides, either, of which we attended 3 during the month of March. WOW! I've amazed myself!
Thank you John for all your work on this VV concept... it's obviously a popular method for people to keep track of their training.

Nancy,
Did JohnT split your tracks? He might be busy doing all that VRM stuff. I can use your MB files to split your Red Barn ride into the 6 separate tracks. Would you like me to do that and save John some work?

Great VVMM '09! John, thanks so much. You are the ride manager everyone agrees to love. Looking forward to May. CC

Well I just added in my last ride data for March.. wow can't believe I rode this much! Thanks John, I know without the motivation of the VV ride I would have sat on my couch more than on my horse!
