Flora's Track-Logs look like a horse!!

31 Days of Endurance Maddness! Ride as many horses and as many miles as you possibly can or want to for the month of March. Log your miles on the virtual vet card to for the chance to win a t-shirt for your efforts! (and if you don't win, you can always buy one:)
To register for the ride, join this group. You will, in time, receive an invitation to your vet card. Don't loose it as it will be used for all the rest of your VVRides.

Track logs can be upload by adding a reply to the TrackLogs discussion and then pasting the resulting URL into your vet card. Tracklogs converted to GoogleEarth.kmz files are prefered

If you don't really understand the above, then you might consider joining a team. Teams have secretaries that take care of you on the ride:)

You can keep a blog of your ride on your my-endurance profile page (My Page). Some examples are:

* a list of past VVRide blog posts

The Very Virtual Ride Rules will help you understand the competition rules. In overview, they are: *A Picture of a Napikin with the Rules written on it".

Remember, the start of the VVMarchMaddness ride is:

Sunrise 01Mar2009 - any miles after than, you should log
Sunset 31Mar2009 - (Generally there are 48 hours post finish to get everyone to log their miles)

have fun:)

John, I have my MB links and my GE files for Red Barn but it seems that I deleted it from my GPS without downloading it into my Garmin program (some of my brain cells must have melted in all that rain) Can you use either of those to split the tracks?

My vet card did not update my mileage after I put in my 5.07 miles yesterday. Did I do something wrong?

Thanks John had a great time ! Thanks Flora for hosting some great rides and allowing us to test gear. I feel good about our first ride in two weeks !

Sunset yesterday...and I logged in my final miles going to the top of the mountain to take photographs. A nice finish to a fantastic month of riding. Can't believe the VV is over. My ponies are now super fit, bouncing around like ping-pong balls, full of themselves. THANKS, John for the best motivational excuse EVER to get out and ride, no matter what the weather.

Well I started out VVMM with full intention of filling up the card but weather had other ideas and hey had a blast and am so proud of our Snow Cats Team. Loved seeing all the tracks and visiting with you, great exp. for sure! Also learned Northerns ARE a harty bunch or just plan crazy fools (including Marirose and Cindy! think you should be on our Team ;-)) for the love of the sport, the horse and the trail. Impressed with all you guys! Hope to do some comps south this year and can meet some of ya.
Congrads to you all! THANKS JT!

Jay, you need to right click & "save as". Fromthere, upload it it into the "track logs" discussion or into a blog on your page. From there, copy & paste onto your vet card.

OK, I have been able to figure out how to make the track logs for my rides on GE, but I can't seem to figure out how to upload them to my ride card. In fact, I can't do much of anything with them.

Thanks all for the great posts, photos and joys shared. You in the wicked weather country get special kudos. Thank you John, again, for a hoot and the motivation. Terrific fun...and a chance for fellowship.
Barbara and the boys.
