Looking for elk

Posted on January 23, 2010 at 9:33pm 2 Comments

Well the weather is turning back to normal (windy). Mary and I was able to ride Duan and Sierra about 6 miles today. We went up the hill looking for elk. We were in the middle of all kinds of old feeding ground, but no elk to be seen. Oh well we had a great ride. Duan is doing so well you would think that she was 10 instead of 4. And what a trot. She can move.

Happy New Year every one.

White Christmas

So everyone wants a white Christmas. Bah!! Well it is white here white on the ground, white sky, and white every where between. I can hardly see the barn and it is only a couple of hundred feet from the house. Merry Christmas.

I am not sure how far I can haul her each day. Dose any one know where I can find overnight resting spots? And how many hours can I safely haul my horse?

The end

Taffy Gave up the fight at 4:20 Saturday September 19, 2009 at the age of 19. We elected not to have her put down because. She did not have much stress until the last few minutes. At which point she was lying down. She got up and ran around the yard (of cource we had all the gates open) with me following close behind I think that she was looking for Mary, She found her coming out our back door. Went over to her and stood there min or two. Then collapsed and gave up her life. We are very sad to… Continue
