The McGhee's have their version of elegant arabians romping in the snow. Here is our version.

I notice that you are holding that bag in such a way as to cover the Belly. Any reason???? ;-)

Got it :) If he has any sense of rhythm, he'll get it!

I think she's just proud of him for learning to post. This is a heavyweight whose family has gaited horses that Jody has recruited to put miles on the horse she doesn't *want* to ride. :-)

So, what's the rest of the story behind the posting issues?

I really think that April wants to come live in Wyoming :) Tell Joni that I have a friend here who rode her mule in dressage and eventing! He didn't move nearly as lovely as April. Cindy

Hey Jodie, I LOVE that beautiful April!! There was a gal named Cindy something who was a vet in Alabama and she bred Arab mules. Rudy or Ruby was one of them, anyway, she had some really pretty mules. Boy, if I didn't have so many Arabs!!! Now I remember reading that you are a farrier so do you shoe your mules? All of the time, some of the time??

Dear Ms. Buttram,

Any news on April? How is her training progressing? Do you have any more photos or Videos of her.

Sincerely, Rob Losey

I heard you'd asked Angie how #6 was doing. He's doing great. He still has some confinement issues, but is getting better about them everyday. I was even able to use the heat gun on his feet to put some vettec stuff in the other day. I was prepared for a battle, but he was an angel. We are planning to do 2 days of 50's @ Red Barn to start our season, Million Pines, 2 days @ Race the Trace for my sister's 40th birthday (she rides in the Central Region so we just meet in the middle..it's my good fortune it happens to still be int he SE region ha/ha) and then as long as he's doing well we have a FULL season of 50's planned and we MAY even try a 75 or 100 at the end of the year if he's doing good. He did his first 50 @ Hallelujah in Oct and was still pulling on me on the last loop!! I LOVE the mule pics...I have a friends who has a mule and she does hunter shows, trail riding, hunter paces etc with her beautiful mule. Well, I hope to see you guys at a ride soon.

OK, I've entered the twilight zone. I had two slide shows on my page with my pictures in them and when I logged in today instead of my pictures I see pictures of beautiful streams and waterfalls and Joni playing in a creek and Booger climbing steps. LOL

I'm not sure what has happend but your slideshow somehow has replaced mine on my page. Wierd huh?

I looked up that pic & it was actually Colorama '04. (I was at CC that year also). Anyhow, I was in MI 'til '07 when I moved 'home' to WY. (OK, it just 'feels' more like home.) ;O)

If I had pictures of a fine endurance mule pulling a Dr's buggy I'd post them!

Well we finished the 50 in good shape! Ride time of 7:34. Very hilly ride, and it was around 80. It didn't seem like we were taking it easy but everyone was cruising along. Biggest ride yet in the NE. 81 started the 50 and 70 started the LD!!! Another 50 in 2 weeks up in New York, then we're off to try the "Suicide" 100
