The basic idea behind interval training is to enable the horse to experience more intense work over several short periods of activity than would be possible if the work was carried out in one block. So the horse is given periods of activity interspaced with rest periods, and each period of activity can vary from easy aerobic exercise to high-intensity, mostly anaerobic exercise.
Hey Karen. Steve Bradley told me to ask what camera you use (I think he said it was small and blue??). I am looking for something small to stuff in my saddle pack that takes decent pictures.
I got a new pony! I am soooo excited about him, and can't wait for another few months when his feet start growing out and looking nice ;) I have had such good luck with the Renegades on Eddy I am praying that I don't have troubles with this guy!
Just sent Kirk a write-up. I tried to be brief but I am not known for lacking words, lol!
Nasty vaccine reaction. Your vet must have used a different brand of vaccine huh? I guess some brands are much more prone to causing reaction than others. Yuck. Hope that goes away soon, DMSO sucks!!
The weather here usually doesn't bother me too bad. I like giving the ponies a couple months off in the winter. It's the slimy spring mud that drives me crazy!!!
Thanks for the comments, hope we can keep in touch!
I keep meaning to send Kirk a write-up but just haven't yet! I guess I will get on that.
As far as my next ride... yikes. It will most likely be Steph's Tough Sucker in April maybe Home On the Range if I feel like traveling that far. What about you? Are you doing Eastern Mojave? We have friends down in AZ and they are driving me crazy bragging about all these great rides! I am trying to convince hubby that we need to move down there. He would have plenty of rides to vet!!
I sure do have photos! If you check out my album all the ride photos of my pinto he is in his boots. I have more that I haven't posted as well if ya need em ;)
Just trying to figure out how this all works now that I am signed in...we went away from Rhino vaccines about 4 years ago.. had major issues with abcessing. Is your horse just swollen or will this abcess?
