The VVMayFlowers Ride will cover 10 days in the Month of May. Capture the beauty of our gracious earth as we explore the endurance trails around the world in the merry month of May!!
Hi Flora ,I will give you an Email and a link for you to check over everything, I would love to go riding with you! this weekend is our anual Trout Unlimited Show in Middleburg so I will be trying to ride real early on the farm. so nobody expect big…
My wife and I live here in the Valley and do alot of training rides on the old OLD DOMINION, We travel to several other states to do rides, we have some pretty green horses but are coming along great, My personal goal is to be able to do several 100 miles a year, and of course do the Tevis. Update My wife and I purchased property below milford Gap In Fort Valley where we will be moving to full time . We will have access to Hundreds of miles of trails without crossing private lands or roads, this has always been are dream . Conditioning horses right out the back of the barn instead of driving to the mountain. will put on Pics with the blog
My wifes Family farm, We host two timber races, We enjoy going down and running around the course for some of our training ride, I will be doing some of my VV Ride as well ,lots of fun
Larry, I've owned both hand held and watch type. I do like my watch type much better, but I still never had my hand held turn on and off. I have head other riders complain about this and I wish I understood what's happening. OK, I'll bite, what's a timber race? Cindy in Cody, WY
Hi Larry - I am heading for FV on Thursday morning to meet with the excavator and Stephen Adams about the fencing. Starting with only 5 acres because of time restrictions (we have a settlement date of April 6th). Then on to the builder Friday. Let's pray they can finish the house in time! Barney will not like living in a horse trailer with 2 dogs 8 cats and me :>)
Our ice is finally going and actually rode yesterday and it is in the picture for today. Like you I can't wait to just ride off property! Have to trailer everywhere here. Some close, good riding areas but trailering takes so much time. What is your time schedule for moving?
Hey, Larry! I will certainly be coming your way for some riding since friend and fellow endurance rider Barb Horstmeier from PA is moving to Fort Valley this Spring. Woohoo! She'll be down this weekend starting on the fencing plan for her horses.
The MarchMadness ride should be a blast. If John does a full month again, you will see some serious competition in putting "in them miles"for the VV. It is really an awesome way to get one charged up for getting out to ride and get those trails open. I do a lot of trail clearing in March - better than going to a gym.
Larry, you don't have to put in GMT. Just your time zone. We used to use GMT-Greenwich Mean Time difference, but JohnT recovered from that silliness :)
Cindy
John will email a link to you for your vet card. You will have to use that link to be able to edit it. As for the GPS info, I don't know, I do the handrawn thing.
Hi Larry
Yep, I am not very far away from you guys at all. If you are interested we can plan some weekend conditioning rides together either over at your way or out from my way which has access to going up to Skyline drive and over the otherside...can get in some good 20 mile rides at times, but I like the Fort and want to try some more rides there.
Thanks hope to meet up with you....after some of this brrrrrrrr weather is gone.
