About Me:
I have been envolved in endurance since 1982. Riding, crewing, volunteering and just plain loving it. My husband and I basically just trail ride now, but our trail rides are still ridden like we are "conditioning" for that upcoming ride. Ed and I enjoy riding together and this is what we do together as a couple. He is just as horse crazy as I am! We have recently gone "barefoot" and my husband is a natural balance barefoot trimmer now. My husband (Ed) rides a 7 yr old Fox Trotter/Arab gelding now. This horse has been barefoot most of his life, and I have my 14 yr old Arab gelding that I have had the pleasure of riding now for a little over 2 yrs. He has been barefoot now for 6 months and is doing really well on the trails with no boots. We have owned and ridden alot of different horses over the years. The 2 boys that are in our lives now are here to stay. They are simply the best, sane, fun, horses yet.

Favorite Saddle
The "BOZ" saddle. We have been using them Since 1990.
Good afternoon Linda,
I just love my Boz and use only a dixie midnight pad under my saddle and it fits everyone. I do have 2 sets of pads that I use for different horses, the thicker on I use on my thoroughbred types and the thiner one I use on my chubby Apps. I have been breeding Appaloosa's for over 30 years and they all look like the george Phippen original appaloosa, and am on my 5th generation. Sorry I have not figured out how to do a photo as yet.

I wish your husband lived closer to me! I have a heckuva time finding farriers to barefoot trim my girl...we've got a great guy where I go to school, but I get nothing but poo-poo's while I'm in Boise for the summer. Sad, as she's such a sweet girl! Good luck going barefoot---I love it!
