Well, I've updated my vet card with my last ride. I had hoped to get more riding in and have a somewhat respectable distance for the month, but between visitors, work and flooding rain it was not to be. It's been great fun as usual and every VV ride…

I've figured out how to link my google earth track to my vet card and get the distance. With a little help from my virtual friends. But now my distance is stagnating again. I have ridden a little more than 16 miles. Megan

Megan,

Congratulations!!! do you have pictures of your two Waler's? I'm making your completion award and thought it would be nice to have with it pictures:) I'm glad you rode - I too didn't go far, but I certainly had fun doing it:)

Megan,

I took a look at the times again. There was a strange think in the Start Time. When I retyped it, the strangeness went away. So I think there may have been a hidden character in there. The Arrival time (and all times you type) need to be "military time" (or a 24 hour clock. So if you leave at 9am and get back at 1pm, enter 09:00:00 and 13:00:00

also, I didn't see a distance, so I made one up. you need to go in and change that back to the real number.

Not to worry (unless it's about the heat of your summer and the fires and drought!!!!!)

Megan --- I think I screwed up your vet card!!!! I think I must have set the wrong worksheet back to 0 when I did the new ride - and thus reset your VVClassic data:( My sincere appologies. I will try to find a way to get it back. In the mean time, I can see by the VVClassic results that you are right between Maryanne (at 28.8) and Kara (at 24.49). If you can't remember your final distance, I'll put in 27 in for you for now. Sorry!!!!:(

Sounds terrific. We don't have too many multi-day rides here on the east coast of the US but I started doing LD multi-days since current horse has not yet done his first 50. He has done 2 and 3 day rides and is doing very well. I would like to do our Shore to Shore ride which is also a 5 day ride of 250 miles which rides all the way across the state of Michigan.
I am also wondering what breed your horse is and other than arabians are there any other breeds that do well in your climate and terrain?

your rides sound like fun !! How many rides are in your area per year ? My daughter is preparing to do her first endurance ride in September. She is very excited as she has been training/conditioning her horse herself. Being a mom, I will no doubt be stressed out like an old Hen :>)
