Well, I really flaked on this one. I did get in about 25-26 miles, but didn't have the opportunity to submit my files. It's tough when I have to wait for an opportunity to steal time at work! Hopefully one day I'll have faster service at home (we go…

About My Husband, Jim

I just wanted to let those of you who know me (mostly folks in Northern California) - my husband, Jim passed away February 23rd from a sudden heart attack. He did his first LD last year (although he didn't get a completion - didn't understand about the 30 minute vet in at the end) and was really looking forward to doing more this year. He was on his way to a riding lesson, with two new saddles to be evaluated, when it happened.

This is why I never got signed up for the March Madness VV ride - s… Continue

I Did Post An I'm Here! {: /body>

I did send an I'm Here post from this blog, and set it to post 12/25, noon California time. I don't see it, and the screen says I haven't posted any comments yet. Have I missed the start? Has my entry been scratched! Whaaa!

I'm Here!

Merry Christmas, everyone! I'm here, and so is my husband, Jim. We probably won't hit the trail for a few days, so we'll be "tail enders" (as is usual for me). But what the hey - to finish is to win!

Hey Robin! Just got your comment (haven't checked this in quite a while!) Glad you enjoyed the video! I hope your grandson has as great experiences as I did with horses. They were the best...it'll do him good! (btw, funny little story behind the video: that pony was still really young and green, and I first climbed him like that while he was in the stall with no halter and my mom was on the phone somewhere else. I'd told her I was going to and she didn't believe me. ;D )

Convention in Reno is a long way for you guys! If you can hitch a ride to northern California, I'm sure we can find a horse or two for you to ride. What do you think of my new baby? (6 months old in my member picture). {: >

glad to be your friend as well! I sure wish we could come out to the convention again. That was an absolute blast to me. I can't wait to come again one of these days!

Josie personalized my page. She's the "My Space" queen and jumped right in. I'm debating whether to add more photos of other horses, etc. I'm obsessive about having lots of photos but it looks like everyone's are pretty recent.

Clueless was him. He has no idea how to trot out yet and I don't want to mess him up by rushing the lesson. I've been busy teaching him to have his feet handled so we can get shoes eventually!
