Potato does not use regular stirrups. Potato uses stirrups of his own design which he has manufactured in Auburn by the Auburn Ironworks. A Wendell Robie story there...

- I have been riding endurance for almost 20 years. I learned from some of the now "old timers"!!
I have started Tevis on a gelding, mare, stallion and even a mule!
My little boy, Colton Medeiros, has already done three 100 mile rides and he is only nine.
I now ride with Potato Richardson and I am loving it!
Enjoying working with him and being able to enjoy riding with him is truely a blessing, especially since he has some of the breeding in his horses which is near and dear to my heart, Bezetal! Bezetal was the only stallion to ever win Tevis, and he did it twice while being ridden by Ed Johnson, although his daughter, Cathy, was the one who trained the horse.
I have been privelaged to ride many horses with this breeding over the years...
I am looking forward to this ride season and hope you all are as well!
One thing about Potato is that he has some really sweet horses and also Potato likes to share that opportunity to ride his horses with people from all over the world. He is a fine teacher. Check out the website that I have been working on for more info...www.tevispost.com

100 Mile Buckles....
I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else before....
If you are in a relationship and split up....
and that person takes all of your 100 mile buckles and refuses to give them back?
....and for that matter all of your personal posessions!
What do you think their motive is?

Not so High on High Desert Classic...
Showed up on Friday evening and listened to Ride Management give almost a 45 minute diatribe of the trail....They also mentioned that there were cattle that were taking down ribbons and that the weather had been increment...so they reassured us that there was plenty of dolmite or flour on the trail to mark the direction to go....
Potato and I started off in front and pretty much left the rest of the pack....
We weren't going fast, just a nice steady trot...like normal.

Anyone Interested in leasing a Tevis Winner to Ride Tevis on this Year!!!!???

- Hi Tamara, recieved your request and have added you as a friend. My dream is to one day soon ride the Tevis. I've completed the OD and love technical trail. Looking forward to the first competition just across the Ontario border in Buffalo. I'm planning to again head down to the OD this year so putting my conditioning plan together. I'm at a disadvantage here in Ontario because do not have the mountainous terrain of the OD. How about you? Have you already started your season? Tom
