So far, Red is the only horse at the barn who really wanted to interact with the ball at all.

I love my Skito Dryback pads - but they're thick, even with the thinner 1/2" foam inserts, so if your saddle is pinching anywhere this probably isn't a good choice. They do a great job on pressure distribution & keeping the back cool. And they're ea…

About Me:
I am a veterinarian specializing in acupuncture. My practice treats dogs, cats, and horses. My first endurance horse inspired me to pursue training & certification in veterinary acupuncture because he has a nerve problem in his neck. With acupuncture, he has stayed sound & competitive, although this year wasn't a great year for getting to rides, as I was busy growing my practice. I hope to move up to 50 mile rides next season with my younger horse and our major goal for 2010 is the Shore to Shore multiday in Michigan.

There are typically many trail riders later in the day, but on the early loops we see deer, turkey, frogs, water birds like herons & ducks in the po… Continue

This is the first ride of the year for Minnesota riders, and the weather can be iffy. This year we had fantastic weather with a few sprinkles of rain & a bit of wind on Saturday with temps around 60 and a gorgeous day on Sunday with blue skies, light breezes,… Continue
