New Year's Eve day

Today is New Year’s Eve and I am waiting for the first load of laundry to go into the dryer so I can start the second load and get on my Jazzi. It is cold today for southern California (in the 50's) and I have my new Iridion 3 season Polartech boot cut riding tights on! They are warm and comfy and I look forward to seeing how they feel in the saddle. I also have to test out my rain chaps from Muddy Creek, but need to find a belt first. Thank you Santa!!!

Holiday Greetings from Elfin Forest, CA

Holiday greetings to you from all of us at the Lazy J Ranch.

Advice needed and muchly appriciated!!!

We are new to the breeding business and so any advice would definitely be appriciated. I am also a new rider to the endurance scene. I have conditioned them for others and of course I spent many an hour in the saddle with my mares and one gelding. I've been riding all my life mainly on Mustangs and Arabs. My uncle was a mustang man for 40 years rounding them up in eastern Oregon so obtaining a horse was never a problem. Just because I am a very experienced rider doesn't mean I know anything…

Great horse, horrible neighbors..

I live in the middle of the woods, so there isn't really any space to ride on my property. When I want to ride for any length my only option is to take the horses out on the back roads around my house. Now this wouldn't be a problem except for that the most recent time I have ridden out there was the first real ride outside of the yard for my young stallion.
