Endurance and Long Distance Equine Disciplines

I'll be the first to admit that I've been accused of loving my Fox Trotter too much. Maybe a more accurate description would be that in the beginning of the relationship I let her get away with many little things that had the potential to end up as bigger problems. Her breeder brought it to my attention. My Trotter loves to lead the pack which can be a problem when riding in a group. I love her move out attitude, but she needed to learn to be a follower as well. With some mindful riding and correction, she's now a follower when she needs to be. I still love her very much but she's learned that I am the lead mare and now it's a benevolent dictatorship. Horsedrivensite.net
