Endurance Riders

Endurance and Long Distance Equine Disciplines

Ok...yes, I know this is an Endurance site and my first ride was a "competitive" trail ride..but, hey, you have to start somewhere, right? This was my first! And it wasn't with my endurance prospect, Harley SF - he's still recovering from a nasty gash on leg. This is with my old American Saddlebred, Max. We had FUN! My goal is endurance, but for now, I start out with baby steps..........

It seems that no matter what distance that end is sore SO go for the miles. don't worry about speed it will come. Stay as a team, keep the smiles going and you will all be winners.

Hi Cole! Thanks! Your comments made me feel much better! Speaking of butts in the saddle, though....how long does it take to condition that end of the business? haha! Ten miles and I was sore the next day. It was hard to imagine my old butt taking 25, 50...100 miles in the saddle!!!! How do you guys do it?!?
