Not sure strategies is the best place for this, maybe starting new mounts. We don't have the option to start our own category.
One day I opened my mind and realized that when I was working with my horses, some of the thoughts in my head were theirs not mine. It blew me away, and then I started paying attention more. And getting messages from other people's horses.
I think we all have this ability, but most of us stifle it and don't believe the messages we are hearing, or tell ourselves that it's our thoughts and not the animal's.
anyway, I love to practice. I'm best at talking with horses and dogs, but have also read cats and talked with a deer and a red tailed hawk.
Sometimes I just get impressions and feelings, other times get something quite specific. If you'd like me to ask your horse some questions, I need a picture of it's face and the questions you want asked. I don't charge a fee for this, I just want the experience and if I can help somebody and some animals, that's cool. I've talked with horses in Canada, the US, and Australia.
I'd love to hear from other people who do AC and people who have had experiences good and bad. Later, I'll tell you how I got started....
And if you think I had too much to smoke in the 70's, well, you are entitled to your opinion, LOL. Doesn't hurt my feelings.
HAVE I GOTTEN TO EVERYONE who asked???? if not, send me email and jog my memory! Was the experience what you expected good or bad??? Feedback is good, either here or in email. My goal is to help animals and their people understand each other better.
am considering starting a website to do this more seriously, so any feedback you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
Were you surprised by something your animal said? Did you see where that came from or was I totally off (which can happen, of course, i'm not 100 percent). Did I get your animal's personality correct? Did the information help you?

I thought you were pretty accurate! I'd be interested to stay in contact with you (and Cricket) through the next few months to see how he progresses. I'd also be interested in learning how to do this myself!
One of the resources I used was a book by Marta Williams called Learning Their Language. There are exercises to do and some good reading.
I also belong to a discussion forum where we practice on each other's pets. It's free to join. You read other people's animals and take turns using your animals as the "host" animal to be read by others.
If you are serious about learning, email me and I'll give you the link to the forum. It's a great bunch of people and I've learned a lot!

Okay, so you are getting lots of people wanting their horses "listened" to, I did it backwards and asked you from your page---so, if you have the time and inclination, I would love for you to chat with Sonny, basic feedback, how is he feeling, does he like his job, etc... I have some good face photos of him on my page, if those are not good enough let me know, I know he has a couple of "issues" right now---but don't want to taint your reading. thanks bunches
