Added a reply Dec. 18, 2007

Okay, I got it added. I thought it would add a link to the existing site, not create a brand new group. =( Would be nice to have all the messages post to one location (not yahoo and here seperate).... Read More »

I'm getting an error when trying to add an external Yahoo Group to my page. It's making me fill out the website address for the group (the my-endurance one) and then it's giving me a "no spaces" er... Read More »

Hi Crysta,

How did your Mom do with getting a vet for her horse?

Hi Crysta,
Yeah, I've been in Agua Dulce for about 12 years, I just LOVE it. I stay out of the small town politics, but it's still a rural, quiet town and I can ride out of my corral in any direction. A few more fences here and there, but all in all, still amazingly accessible. I'll post some photos soon! Where do you live? You should come ride over here, it's only a 20 min nice ride to Vasquez Rocks Park, cool place to ride....

oh no...that might be 209-722-0279. Try both. I don't have my cell phone with me to get her number off of.

Hi Crysta,

That would be Dr. Jim Byerly. He is the private vet for Flying M ranch. However, he does do ranch calls to other ranches. Have your Mom call Kathy Moren, 209-727-0279 to get Jim's phone number. If Jim is not available Kathy will know the next best Vet candidate. I would think that your Mom might want to take the horse up to Dr. Jackman at Pioneer Vet Hospital in Oakdale though.

Did Sinatra get alot of fur? We've been in the teens (which is cold for here) but no snow yet; Legs looks like a fuzz-bomb. I was bummed for you when I read that Sinatra choked at Virginia City. Read your Tevis blog and really enjoyed it. Forwarded it to Legs' breeder, who finished Tevis twice in the eighties, who said that it put her right back at the ride: many thanks

Hi Crysta, I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday season. How's the weather? The weather reports make it sound severe; hope you are all ok.

I don't think the average Endurance Rider has IV supplies at hand.
Nor do most have IV drugs on hand. I personally do have Bute paste
now. Nearly every Endurance Rider I know has a first aid kit at some
level or another.

Bare necessities for me are: Vet Wrap, ice wraps, bandage (usually a
kotex) for bleeding, polo wraps. All of this I can carry on the
saddle have in the trailer.
