About Me:
I'm hooked on endurance! I absolutely love it!
I'm a senior in high school, and will be going to the local university to major in Criminal Justice. Possibly return to school for my JD degree. Who knows at this point!

I've done one 100 with my mare, Rika, and hope to do a few more this season. Then next spring, I'll have to settle down on the rides as I'll be in college, and will be breeding my mare for my future prospect. I'm going to be breeding her to R-Kon. He's a CMK gray arabian, winner on the track and has produced 100 mile winning horses. I just got a 13.3h 7 yr. old polish mare that I'm planning on doing her first 50 this fall. I think she has a lot to show out on the endurance trail. I'll be competing her more heavily after this year when Rikka won't be getting to many rides due to her pregnancy. I have 2 awesome horses!

I also enjoy hanging with friends, running, ride and tie, snowboarding, piano, violin, makin my own music, and doin crazy stuff!

I'll pass the word around.
I already planned on giving her a full month of rest before she hurt herself. so it won't make a lot of differnce only for the RI ride but i really don't care or if i can ride her i might do the 30 or a very slow 50, we'll see, i'll know more tomorrow. i keep my finger crossed.

Sorry to hear that, where are you moving to?
I am not sure when we'll be able to do a ride as at the last hold Tika bang herself into a mounting block, she is not lame but has a little tenderness in her right rear leg tendons.
I'll have her ultrasound tomorrow, I don't thinkit's major but i want to know what's going on and want her to heal properly.
I planned on going to the Rhodes Island ride at the end of september, i might ride one of pam's horses or to crew my friend, i'll be crewing at the championships in indiana and we'll probably be able to do the mustang, i am sure Tika needs only 6/8 weeks of rest so i'll be able to ride the mustang, maybe i'll do the 2 days 50.
And you, what are you up to?

Hello,
Are you selling Rika? I saw an thread on ridecamp from Dobie sable and i think i recognized the name of your mare.
How are you?
We just finished our 1st 75 at Vermont Moonlight.
But Tika bang herself on a mounting block, i am going to ultrasound her this week, she is not lame but i want to know what's going on she is a little swollen.
it's a bummer because that ride is exceptional!!!
I am going back next year.

Yes, I confess, I don't remember seeing you. I was so focused on my horse and the ride it's no wonder. Hope we can meet again!

Hey Kyle! Did you check out the new pics from Genesee on my page? Kirby really had his game face on that morning. I'll let you know how the Mike Ross ride goes.

Hi Kyle, I didn't realize that you were at the OD until I just received the results in the mail. Sorry you didn't make it, better luck next time. How far did you get? I wish I had run into you so I can put a face on your name.
Blue and I finished at 5:11 in the morning, you can read my story on my page. Hope we meet on the trail some day!
Happy trails, Nancy

I don't think the average Endurance Rider has IV supplies at hand.
Nor do most have IV drugs on hand. I personally do have Bute paste
now. Nearly every Endurance Rider I know has a first aid kit at some
level or another.

Bare necessities for me are: Vet Wrap, ice wraps, bandage (usually a
kotex) for bleeding, polo wraps. All of this I can carry on the
saddle have in the trailer.
